Practitioners, academics and researchers who work in the creative industries are invited to participate in the inaugural Multimodal Conference 2010.

The Multimodal Conference 2010 will be held at the Auckland University of Technology in Auckland, New Zealand from December 6-8, 2010.

This international conference is dedicated to bringing together the diverse aspects of multimodality in an open forum for interdisciplinary collaboration and networking. An exciting multidisciplinary program will provide the opportunity to share progressive research.

Multimodal research is continuously evolving, and has become a method of inquiry in many areas ranging from architecture, arts and design, to communication, linguistics and media, to creative software and gaming technologies.

The theme for the conference is:

Multimodality, Practice and Mediation:
New Technologies, Workplaces, Identity, Time, Theory and Method

We expect the conference to attract delegates from New Zealand and the international community. They will come from a wide variety of disciplines including art, architecture, communication, computing, design, linguistics, media, sociology, psychology and more. We look forward to welcoming you to Auckland in December 2010.
