Centre for Advanced Manufacturing Technologies

CAMTEC is a leading technology centre dedicated to developing industrial innovations for competitive advances in a number of key areas (see Major Areas of Research Capability). CAMTEC is a "technology centre" which means that it incorporates the traditional functions of a "research centre" and adds value through development and deployment. Advanced technology enabling projects within CAMTEC span from lightweight alloys to manufacturing processes to management and lean manufacturing systems through to virtual product/process simulation tools.

CAMTEC leaders govern and drive some of the largest manufacturing industry sector groups in NZ.
Almost all of our research projects are industry based and industry driven with very good prospects for a strong network and experience base from which to launch a rewarding career. Applications and alliances by CAMTEC are well established within the international marine, automotive, and other manufacturing industries.
